CT3D is excited to announce that it now has one of the largest Modix 3D print farms in Connecticut, and possibily in New England. There are many print-as-a-service companies around, but few offer a one-stop shop of design, iteration, and production using large format machines such as the Modix BIG60. With a build envelope of 24” x 24” x 26” (600mm x 600mm x 660mm), the possibilities are endless.
Full scale models for ComicCon events, single-piece costume accessories for Cosplay or apparel prototyping, 1:1 model validation for automotive, architectural, or fabrication. Large-scale jigs and fixtures printed in engineering-grade materials like carbon fiber-reinforced nylon, ABS, or glass fiber-reinforced ASA.

The Modix BIG60 is a FDM printing platform that can use a wide range of materials, such as PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, or fiber-reinforced materials. As a core XY platform, tall models are not a challenge like on traditional “bed slinger” printers. Due to its extremely large format, you can print your model in one shot rather than needing to deal with the complex design process of breaking the model up and then the extensive post processing to get your model show-ready.
